Sibos 2019 was held in London from 23rd to 26th September. It was our 19th time to participate in this event, and we would like to thank every single person who visited our booth or attended our Open Theatre session.
For the first time, Sibos was held in the City of London, one of the world's leading financial centres. It became the biggest ever, with a record-breaking 11,500+ delegates, 300+ exhibitors and 600+ speakers.
This year's conference theme was "thriving in a hyper-connected world" and the event explored the impact of new technologies especially what the organizations need to maximize the potential of both human and machine capabilities.
The event also provided the perfect platform of high-level discussion and debate on hot topics including the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and Open Banking.
NTT DATA Getronics at Sibos2019 in London
NTT DATA and NTT DATA Getronics held a joint exhibition for the event this year as well. The booth design was based around our corporate colours blue and white. We also had a photo spot panel of Big Ben, one of the London's most famous landmarks.

As a regular occurrence since our first presentation at Sibos Osaka in 2012, NTTDG held an Open Theatre session this year on 25th September. This year's theme was "What is the role of Digital Transformation in AML/CFT?"
Together with Ms. Catarina Soares, a specialist of Data Analytics from everis, Mr. Yoshiyuki Minegishi, a General Manager of Financial Solution Sales, gave examples of new technologies (e.g. AI, Big Data and RPA) in AML/CFT and importance of Data analytics.
Sibos Photos
The Discover Zone at the Sibos was bigger than ever this year with leading Fintechs from all over the world. Many sessions focused on the forward looking topics were held in the area.

Sibos (SWIFT International Banking Operations) is the world's premier financial services event which is an annual conference, exhibition and networking event organized by SWIFT for the financial industry. The next Sibos will be held in Boston (2020).
NTT DATA Getronics have been attending to exhibit at Sibos for 19 years since its first participation in San Francisco, 2000 (except Sibos 2001, which was cancelled).
