Our 23rd Appearance at Sibos 2025 – The World’s Premier Financial Services Event for the Swift Community

Sibos 2025, the global annual financial services event organised by Swift, took place from 29 September to 2 October in Frankfurt, Germany—one of the EU’s leading financial hubs. Following two digital editions during the pandemic, Sibos has adopted a hybrid format since Amsterdam in 2022, combining in-person and digital participation.
Expanding our ongoing commitment to the Swift community, this year marked our 23rd consecutive on-site presence since our first exhibition at Sibos 2000 in San Francisco. As the only Japanese IT company to exhibit consistently across all host countries, we have partnered with NTT DATA for joint exhibitions since the Hong Kong event in 2009.
This year's Sibos, held at Messe Frankfurt, attracted over 12,500 participants, setting a record as the largest Sibos to date with over 700 speakers and more than 200 exhibitors.
A Global Conference Shaping the Future of Finance
With the theme of “The Next Frontiers of Global Finance”, Sibos 2025 showcased Swift’s new strategy for driving innovation alongside the evolution of existing infrastructures. Swift announced initiatives towards building blockchain-based shared ledgers, addressing the rise of digital assets and the on-chain transformation of finance. Reinforcing its role as a bridge between TradFi (traditional finance) and DeFi (decentralised finance), Swift outlined its vision for enabling trusted movement of tokenised value.
Key topics included the progress and challenges in achieving the G20’s cross-border payment improvement goals, transitioning to T+1 settlement for securities, advanced measures against financial crime, and discussions on stablecoins, CBDCs, Agentic AI, PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography), and cybersecurity. The importance of collaboration across public and private sectors, regulatory harmonisation, and balancing innovation with trust was strongly emphasised.
Highlighting our Initiatives on the Exhibitor Stage
On 30 September, the second day of the event, we presented on the theme of ISO20022 Address Structuring on the Exhibitor Stage. Our session explored how achieving enriched data and machine readability can transform the financial industry, offering insights from industry experts, clients, and regulators. We also highlighted expectations and challenges for advancing financial services.
Our presentation outlined concrete solutions for the imminent mandate on address structuring, presented a forward-looking vision for global data standardisation in finance, and garnered strong interest and engagement from attendees.
